The Périgord Noir is a destination rich in cultural and gastronomic heritage. This region offers visitors splendid landscapes made up of cliffs, the Dordogne and Vézère rivers and its multiple castles.

You will visit many villages classed as the “most beautiful villages in France”, such as:

  • Domme (5km from the campsite) and its magnificent view over the Dordogne valley
  • Beynac et Cazenac (13 km from the campsite) with its medieval village whose houses cling onto the cliff
  • Castelnaud and its legendary castle (13 km from the campsite)
  • La Roque-Gageac (8km from the campsite), one of the most beautiful villages of the Périgord Noir

You will love taking a stroll along the streets of Sarlat-la-Caneda, an old fortified town (8 km from the campsite), capital of the Périgord Noir, a must-see in the region, a town of Art and History with its market, its gastronomy and its cultural festivities.

A little further (35 km from the campsite) is Les Eyzies, a village known for its many archaeological riches, its caves and its high cliffs …

Then head in Montignac direction, which is world renowned for the very famous Grotte de Lascaux.
