You will stroll through the maze of medieval streets that have inspired many films (Joan of Arc, Les Visiteurs&#8230;). You can taste excellent ice creams &#8230; and book your evenings in one of the restaurants of the historic centre.<\/p>\n<h2>Must-sees in Sarlat<\/h2>\n<p>\u2713 The fa\u00e7ade of the <strong>BOETIE house<\/strong> (opposite the cathedral, Place du Peyrou)<\/p>\n<p>\u2713 <strong>The church of Saint Marie<\/strong> and its gigantic gateway housing a covered market. You can take a panoramic lift, climb 27 metres and admire the city.<\/p>\n<p>\u2713 <strong>The 3 geese<\/strong> on the Jacques Boissarie square<\/p>\n<p>\u2713 <strong>The Fontaine Sainte Marie<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2713 <strong>The Saint-Sacerdos cathedral<\/strong>, classified as a historical monument<\/p>\n<p>\u2713 <strong>The Place de la Libert\u00e9<\/strong>: in the centre of the medieval city, will amaze you if you look up and admire the architecture of the various buildings.<\/p>\n<p>\u2713 <strong>The Plantier gardens<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1118\" src=\"https:\/\/www.moulindecaudon.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/sarlat-dordogne.png\" alt=\"Sarlat P\u00e9rigord Noir\" width=\"1000\" height=\"206\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.moulindecaudon.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/sarlat-dordogne.png 1000w, https:\/\/www.moulindecaudon.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/sarlat-dordogne-768x158.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Its Marketplace<\/h2>\n<p>The latter is set up <strong>every Saturday and Wednesday from 8 am to 1 pm<\/strong>. On Saturdays, the installation takes place in the alleys of the historic centre and also along the rue de la R\u00e9publique. You will discover the <strong>local products, crafts: the strawberry of P\u00e9rigord, the chestnut, the walnut and its excellent cakes, the foie gras, the black truffle, the duck breast, the wines of DORDOGNE, the Cab\u00e9cou<\/strong>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Be careful, the parking spaces are quickly taken by storm. Do not hesitate to come early in the morning or to go up to the car parks in the north of the town.<\/p>\n<h2>The &#8220;Voie verte&#8221;<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/woody.cloudly.space\/app\/uploads\/fenelon\/2019\/02\/voie-verte-veloroute.png\" alt=\"Voie verte Sarlat\" width=\"364\" height=\"208\" \/>This 50 km cycle path between SARLAT and CAZOULES with a diversion to GROLEJAC has been laid out on the old railway line. The route is mostly flat, simple and easy for the whole family (it is accessible at 8 KM from our campsite LE MOULIN DE CAUDON). You will discover several typical villages such as <strong>CARSAC<\/strong>, <strong>AILLAC<\/strong>, <strong>CALVIAC<\/strong>, <strong>ROUFFILLAC<\/strong> &#8230; Several picnic areas and restaurants are at your disposal. Near the river, you can also refresh yourself in the Dordogne.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"btn btn--saumon btn--sm\" href=\"https:\/\/woody.cloudly.space\/app\/uploads\/fenelon\/2019\/02\/voie-verte-veloroute.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">See the map<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The departure of the VOIE VERTE is on the Avenue du PERIGORD. You can rent a BICYCLE, mountain bike, electric mountain bike&#8230; at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.liberty-cycle.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LIBERTY CYCLE<\/a>.
